Electrical testing on-site
CMGS now provides in-house essential inspection and testing services, including:
- Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs)
All work is carried out in full compliance with BS 7671 safety standards, giving you confidence that your installations are safe, compliant and up to standard.

Refurbishments and Upgrades
If your current vehicle needs a revamp and / or re-work, we can repair / refurbish all types of commercial vehicles.
CMGS can also build new or retrofit battery storage solutions to upgrade your fleet to hybrid. Fitting batteries will reduce generator running times and significantly reduce fuel and service bills as well as emissions.
Bespoke designs
CMGS offers both electrical and mechanical bespoke designs to suit customers’ needs.
Our clients are welcome to be fully involved in the design process to ensure the product meets their needs and expectations.
Manufacturing
CMGS provides clients with an expert engineering team made up of designers, coachbuilders and electricians equipped with a diverserity of skills to meet various challenges.
Our 10,000 sq ft premises has both in-house electrical / mechanical design offices, welding and fabrication bays, electrical fit-out areas with panelwork benches and a dedicated final assembly and test zone.
Through design for assembly and manufacture, we maximise our productivity to reduce lengthy lead times and can offer the following services:
- Bespoke design solutions
- Design / build of any vehicle including full vehicle refurbishment and repairs
- Existing build modifications
- Existing build fault finding and repairs
- Welding, fitting and panel repair and redesign
- Vehicles can be painted to match fleet colours at additional cost if required
All our work is guaranteed with a 12 month warranty and all generator vehicles are monitored for the first 12 months via a SIM. This can be extended past 12 months for an additional cost.
Training
For all of our builds we offer training, either at our premises in Colchester, Essex, or we’re more than happy to come to you and train on-site.
Battery Energy Storage System stores electrical energy in batteries and releases it when needed.
